RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client hiring a fully remote Software Engineer to join their team. This team builds web apps and dashboards for stakeholders and other teams to use to identify trends, changes that need to be made and allow access to certain data sources. This app is built on a react front end, and currently migrating to a golang backend, with an emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (moving everything into the cloud) and bigquery.
The Software Engineer's time will be split between fullstack development (dashboard is built with react using hooks), services built in GO, and manipulating of data in Google Cloud Platform and bigquery. They also use a few other tools such as github actions and Jenkins for pipelines. They are open to more of a Software Engineer with some Go/React or interest there, as well as a Full Stack Go/React Engineer that can pick up the data aspect - this is more of a preference as its easier to train the data side than to train dev.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-4 years of fullstack development experience
* Experience in Golang
* Experience in JavaScript/React
* Experience with cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
* Experience with Bigquery a plus
* Experience with CI/CD
* Experience writing unit tests
* Ability to articulate the why's (why you are coding something)
* Desire to learn, ask questions and be a team player
* Lastly, communication is massive, it is an absolute must have to understand the why's and be able to articulate the reasoning behind why you are coding in a language and what you are coding
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
